Why wont my Ps2 Read Blue bottomed CD Discs?

I bought a used Ps2, and it wont read blue bottomed CDs. it reads normal DVD discs fine. is there a way i can fix this? do i need to buy a replacement reader or something?

Well thats because Blue/Black bottom discs are really hard to read for the ps2, the only way to play/read them is clean your laser! That should help a lot

Try cleaning the lens with alcohol and cotton buds.

the only blue bottom discs that work are the PS2 games.  Any other blue bottom discs will not work.
