Why wont my amp work?

Question

I have a Pioneer GM-5300T 760w 2-channel bridgeable amplifier and there is a blue signaling if it is on... When it is solid blue everything works great but when i turn the sub up the amps light will flash and the sub wont play.. So i will pop the hood and mess with the cords (like giggle them back and forth) and then it will kick back in... what do i need to do...? what is wrong...? I am pretty sure everything is connected well and nothing is loose...
