  1. You have some good advice here already from the top two answers. My bearded dragon Spike is 1 year old, and he won't eat anything but live food either, when I spoke to the reptile vet here, he did not seem worried about it either-so don't be worried, just give him more of a variety of what he will eat.

Giving him more of a variety than just crickets, esp. if he will only eat live food, keep offering him fruit and veggies every so often and then  hopefully he will taste test them eventually, and find something he likes.

I try to feed Spike a big variety of live food, he had his first pinky mouse the other day, today he had a huge grasshopper, he has also eaten wax worms, super worms, moths, and beetles, as well as crickets.

  2. I have the same problem. I have a 3yr old that will not touch any veggies. I tried giving him fruits though and he loves them, especially peaches. He also likes strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Some fruits you can only feed occasionally, but others you can feed more often. Just keep trying to give him the veggies. At some point in time, who knows... he just might try them. Give it Mustard Greens, Dandelion Greens, Alfalfa Plant, Collard Greens, and try some squash. If he doesn't eat the greens it will not do anything horrible to him, just bathe him regularly as he isn't taking in any type of water for hydration. Also you can try other types of feeder insects such as: Phoenix Worms, Silkworms, Superworms, Roaches, etc. Just feeding crickets may not be getting him enough nutrients, so I would give him other tasty treats to help it out.

  3. Try red leaf lettuce if you haven't my beardie goes nuts over it. Otherwise I would suggest going out and buying a bearded dragon food formula which is just a bottle of dried crickets with other nutrients in it and chop them up finely into a finely chopped salad, you may also try stirring the lettuce and veggies with a hint of chicken broth to add flavor. Also check his cage temp, if it's too cold or hot he may not eat properly. The peak basking spot should be around 100 degrees while the other end of the cage should be around 80-85 degrees during the day.

  4. it might be a little big for him try chopping it into smaller peaces or try baby food
