Why wont my blu ray player work?

Question

I bought a Samsung Bdp-1400 blu ray player and i got the spidrman 3 trilogy to play on it. i tried the discs but it said Discs cannot be played. I found out tht it needs to have a firmware update which can be downloaded off the interenet on a disc. i dwnloaded the only update tht was there and supposedly updated my player. I laterr tried my discs and they still wont work. Wht the h**l is going on here???????. Pls help cos im really frustrated with it now lol

I would call tech support and see if they can give there 2 cents into your problem.  if its still under contract ask them first.

So it Played ONCE and that's it?

First, if you have had it for less than 15 days, the store will exchange the unit....over 15 days and you need a Samsung Servicer to fix it...that's generally the rules, but you can be persuasive I'm sure....

As for firmware updates...I only apply them to the specific model, and for the SPECIFIC failures it states it will fix....

Wrong models or wrong fixes generally will cause more problems than you hope it will cure....

I'd exchange it myself....
