my breeding cockatiels just laid 3 eggs last week and there was poo all over the top of the nest box. the poo was sticking to the birds feet and they would go sit on the eggs. a friend of mine told me that wasnt healthy for the eggs. so, i cleaned the top of the nest box with water and now they wont go back into it. what should i do?

  1. You should leave them alone completely too much interference will discourage them from wanting to breed. The more you leave them alone the more they will want to breed.
