(or at least that's what we think she is)

She has never been around another dog until we got a pit bull puppy that is 2 months

They finally started getting along but now my Finnish Spitz wont stop l*****g between his legs. I correct her everytime she does it but she just wont stop. Is this normal?

  1. It's natural. Don't correct your dog, because it's important the mother licks that area, even if it looks really nasty.

She's cleaning her pups, so just ignore this behaviour.

  2. yes it is normal.  a mother dog licks this area to stimulate the pups digestive system.  leave them alone, she is doing what she is supposed to do.

  3. It is perfectly natural and you shoud not stop it from happening. Your dog stimulates the digetive tract of the puppy and cleans it. This is VERY important with all kind of animals.

When you have been to the toilet you use toilet-paper but what is the puppy supposed to do?!

when the puppy gets older your dog will stop doing it, so leave them.

  4. It's cleaning or a submissive behavior. Perfectly natural. If you don't want her doing it simply calmly redirect her to do something else. Also work on *leave it* command

  5. Normal healthy dog behaviour, no correction required.

  6. dont! its natural. if that dog already stopped the puppies might/will die
