Why wont my hitachi dzbx35e dvdcam let me record on my sd memory card?

everytime i press record a message on the screen says "cannot record video" any ideas?

  1. Because it is not designed to capture video to the memory card. It is designed to capture video to the DVD. The memory card is for stills only.
