Why wont my ipod install?

I have a ipod nano and it wont install on my computer. When i plug it in the usb port the hardware wizard comes up but it says that it cant find the software for it. I already downloaded itunes but it still wont work. it does the same for mp3 players.

did you sync it? try that through your itunes....also make sure all connections are fully seated. my nano did not need any software so perhaps you can try uninstalling and reinstalling itunes.

just sync it through itunes
