Why wont my itunes let me sync songs onto my ipod?

i plug my ipod into my pc it will charge and itunes recognizes it, but when i click sync nothing happenes, then if I click on file and go to sync ipod the button is greyed and I cant click on it

Maybe none songs in your iTunes library.

you have to probably register the ipod first.

So when your ipod comes up in itunes just click on it and it'll show you what to do and stuff.

So yeah, i think thats what you do, but i haven't done that in while but yeah just register it and you should be fine :)
