Why wont my realplayer downloads show up in windows movie maker?

When ever I go to import MY REALPLAYER DOWNLOADS videos to windows movie maker it won't show my vids!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Windows Media Player, and thus Windows Movie Maker, doesn't support Real Player formats, which are often just connections to streaming music or video, anyway. But mostly they don't play well together just because they are two entirely different media programs.

    I'll say it again: two entirely different media programs.

    And it's not just Windows' fault, either; I don't think any video editing program out there supports Real Player formats... which means you either need to find a different version of your videos/music (probably in a .avi or .wma format) or find some kind of converter, though I'm not sure if those are out there for Real, either.

    Honestly, if I were you, I'd take this as a time to ditch Real.

    but do not try to mix both..
