Why wont my recorded dvr shows play?

I have dish network dvr and when i try to watch a show i recorded it starts to play but pixels out and stops and then starts again plays about 3 seconds and then pixels out again. Even on live tv if i go back ten seconds then hit play it pixels out and does the same thing. Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know how to fix it?

After reccording a dvd, there is menu assking you to finalize the disc for replay on another system. Do this and see if you get a usable result.

My DVR dosen't do that.  Contact Dish Net tech support.  You may have a problem with your box.

call them back and tell them that your receiver reboots on its own every hour or two. its a common problem and they wont ask you to do anything to fix it. they will just send a new one
