I bought a Ronson Windii refillable lighter and Ronsonal lighter fluid. I filled it up but when I strike it, it wont light. I will strike it about 20 times and it still will not light! I put more fluid in there until it the felt pad on the bottom got wet. Do I still need more fluid? Or what?

  1. It is childproof...lolol

  2. God is protecting you from the intended use of the lighter.  Join the Smoke-out!  ...Do you need a new flint?

  3. Refillable lighters do not only need fluid, but also flint stone. Do you see sparks when you strike it? If not, chances are the flint is worn out and you need another one.

  4. As Vincent G pointed out, check your flint and make sure it's sparking.  Also though, it might be possible that you've over-filled it.  The liquid fuel won't combust unless it is sufficiently carburated (mixed with oxygen).  If your flint is good, try letting the lighter dry out a bit and then give it another go.
