its plugged in, i tried a new outlet. I may have left it on accidentally for about 2 weeks. would that kill anything? I know the light bulb might die.

  1. it is not a good idea to leave the machine plugged in , take out the cord from the machine and replace it in the machine ,make sure that it's in the right position ,sometimes if the cord is put in in the wrong way this will happen.

  2. Check to make sure the cord set is good with a continuity tester and that the outlet is live -- try a lamp or a hairdryer in the receptacle.

If it's a computerized or electronic machine that's taken a power surge during a storm or power system anomaly, it could be toast.  Or you may have lucked out and simply blown a fuse on the machine.

  3. 1. Make sure there is power to the outlet that it is plugged into, try a lamp there.

2.Have someone look to see if there is a fuse or circuit breaker on the machine somewere.

    3. If that fails you may have to bring it in for service.
