Why wont my sim card work?

I have got a new replacement 3 sim card for my phone which in the letter states it may take up to 48 hours however its been 24 and it appears that it has tried to register itself and failed, am i being impatient?

If you leave it the full 48 hours it should be ok. If it does fail then give three a riing.

Um, yes you are being impatient!!!  If the letter says it could take 48 hours then you need to be prepared to wait 48 hours!  It'll probably start working at the last minute (kind of like when delivery men say they'll turn up between 8am and 4pm and arrive at 3:55)!!!

Wait for the full 48 hours and if it hasn't worked by then, contact 3.
