Why wont my vauxhall combo 1.7d start any more?

the fuel pump siezed and snapped the cam belt and two pulleys they have all been changed and the black box on the top of the fuel pump as i was told it was to do with the imobleiser so changed that and now it still wont start the ignition lights came on the other day after id tryed starting and only went out when the battery was dissconected and still the van stil does not start and dosnt seem to be pumping fuel please help as i need the van for work

  2. Some engines require a cylinder head overhaul when the cambelt breaks because the timing goes out of alignment there is a danger of the pistons hitting the valves and bending the valves.

    Sounds like a job for a mechanic to me - you'll be without the van for at most a day or two - expect to pay £400- £600

    If you were a member of the RAC or AA at the time it blew they would have diagnosed the problem for you and given the best advice to get it going again
