Why wont my xbox live work??

I was playing xbox live normally yesterday. Then Next time i test my connection to log in...it says ip address confirmed and dns failed...so i go to the ethernet properties(local area connection) and click properties of IPv4 and then i see it already has an ip address in in soo then i click obtain ip automatticly and then i test my connection and then my ip address is failed when i click edit setting its shows the ip adress if writted and subnetmask but not gateway....idk im really mad cuz it was working before any tips ..

check your internet roughter... becasue what happened to me was there was a blip like 30min were my internet died, then it came back... just wait alittle while for it to restart.. remember internet is not perfect yet... hoped this helped
