I brought a 2003 vehicle a year ago,but used. when i brought it,i didn't have any money down. The deal ship had me write a post dated check for my tax title and tags, because they claimed that they couldn't incorporate it into my payments. When the check came due i was unable to cover it and got a letter from the state, which in turn suspended my tags making the car not legal to drive. Anyhow for months i payed on the vehicle while it sat in my garage for months. then one day decided to contact the bank and ask them for a month to skip so i could pay for my tax, title and tags, and they said no. At that point, i told the bank to come and get the car because i was'nt going to pay for a car that i was'nt driving,in which the bank said fine. A month later, the car is still here and now the bank thinks that they can kick it back to the dealership on the basis of the fact that, everything should have been covered up front, especially the tax, title and tags. Anyhow ,now the bank is saying a no can do,and their coming to get the car, which i said fine, yet the car is still here and they are harassing me saying that i am hiding the car, which i am not. They even called my landlord and told him that they were going to call the police if i did'nt give the car up,yet the car is waiting for them. Now they want me to sign a release form for the vehicle and i told them, just come and get it, as i am back in my payments, yet they still have'nt came and got it.

  1. The banks want you to keep paying for the car so they are delaying the repossession

  2. they want the money, not the car.  what you owe on the car is WAY more than the car is worth.  thats the way it is with cars.  everything about them is a rip-off.

  3. Eventually they will but banks are in alot of trouble right now.  Not only are they dealing with alot of defaults on car loans but they are dealing with the bigger problem of mortgage defaults.  They'll get to it.  In the meantime be aware that you have trashed your credit rating.
