Why wont the dvd's i burn play on my dvd player ?????

I'm burning divx films on to my blank dvd's to play on my samsung dvd player which is a divx player ???? i think its the dvd's them self but cant see how they are 16x certified 4.7gb/120min DVD+R so there just ur normal dvd's so dont see the problem ? plz help thnx

  1. Unfortunately there are several reasons why this might not be working.

    Even though your player says it plays DivX, it may require the DivX files to be of a certain specification, it won't necessarily be able to play everything.

    Also, sorry if this is a dumb question but you're properly finalising the discs etc.? Also, your DVD player is +R compatible?


  2. You are convertimg them from avi files  or whatever ? Sometimes if you have a good dvd they dont like to play copies, do the ones you have made play okay on other peoples dvd players ? Maybe time to invest in a cheapo dvd player.
