Why wont the hdmi cable on my phillips 50 inch plasma show a picture, only the sound?

I have tried to connect my phillips 50 inch plasma to my phillips home theatre by hdmi cable but its not showing a picture only sound. I have selectedf the hdmi 1 option from the source list on the tv remote but it still isnt working..

Crappy cheap cable that came with the home cinema , maybe , invest in top of the range cables when using high end goods its always worth it.

You are connecting an audio receiver to a (HD) television. Where do you expect the video to come from?

my guess are the cables properly in ... my ps2 cable only has to be out a few millimeters and it wont play
