Why wont the new converter box work through the VCR?

  1. All a converter box does is convert a digital to an analog signal.  So, if you connect your antenna to the converter box first, everything after that should work the same as before.


  2. Your coupon-eligible converter box outputs either composite video or RF via Channel 3/4. If you use composite video to the VCR, you need to turn on the VCR and set it to Video 1, as well as set the TV to however you set it to watch your VCR. If it's RF via Ch 3/4, your VCR doesn't need to be on, but your TV needs to be set to Channel 3/4.
