  1. Hello.

    I did both Psychology and Biology for my majors, and I found that they really complemented each other. Here are a few reasons;

    - Psychology and Biology both involve the study of animals, and learning about humans can help with knoweldge of non humans and vice versa.

    - For example in Psychology if you are interested in courses like neuroscience or sensation/perception, then biology really helps, it also makes all the biochemistry stuff a whole lot easier.

    - Also, the brain is a major part of psychology thus having a Biology background help concepts make more sense!

    - In that respects alot of the maths in Psychology is very similar to biology maths.

    - Another angle of why Psychology complements biology and vice versa is in regard to behaviour. For example in behavioural ecology for Biology alot of the information refered to Pavlov and other Psychologists who used animals for reasearch. Its once less thing to have to learn!

    I guess how the subjects complement each other really depends on your interests in the two subjects, but from my experience they really did.

    I hope that helped!
