    which is about politcal boundaries and their relationship to economics and culture...


  2. parts of geography do have social aspects, in the sense of how people interact with the physical environment, and also in areas like political and cultural geography.

    but it is based on physical geography--the physical world and how the human population interacts with it.

  3. Because it has nothing to do with people. It is a physical science - science of physical properties. Social sciences are like anthropology, sociology, political science, because they all study aspects of human life.

Geography is the study of spatial distributions and interactions of things that influence existence on Earth. Thus you have all the Human aspects as well as the physical aspects. The Good geographer has a very rounded education
