Why would I rather be by myself than hang out with people?

I never want to hang out with friends. I perfer to sit at home and watch tv and smoke weed. Sorry. I just don't understand why? My freinds say that I'm anti-social, which makes since.. I would rather be by myself than hang be bullshitty with a friend....

There is some stress involved with people since you have to discuss what they want to discuss, go where they want to go, etc.

If you want every thing to go the way you want it to go, you do this by being with yourself. Some people do not want to be bothered with the stress of carrying on a conversation or the stress of friendship and may have activities they wish to do by themselves.

You say that you would "rather be by myself than hang be bullshitty with a friend..". Why are those the only two alternatives? Why do you have to be 'bullshitty' when you're with a friend? This says to me that you're either not choosing friends well, or that you're opinion of your actual true self is so low that you're unwilling to be yourself and honest when you're with them.

Either of those would explain why you would rather be by yourself than with other people. Of course the 3rd alternative could be simply laziness. Let's face it, it's a LOT easier to hang out, get stoned and watch TV than it is to actually interract.

Smoking weed isn't healthy.

I'm pretty anti-social because all of the people I've come in contact with of late are unintelligent and worthless and just a bad influence, I would rather improve my intelligence than put myself in a bad situation. Being anti-social can be a bad thing but I do it to avoid unneccessary high school drama.
