Why would Japan be a good country to have an american bank branch?

This is a many faceted question. Why would it be good. There are many Americans that work and live in Japan. Many Japanese live part of the year in America, but I think the biggest reason is that Japan does a huge business in the United States, Have you heard these  names before Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Honda, Panasonic, JVC, Nikon, this list goes on and on. They have to have immediate cash availability. I would also point out that many folks from Japan come to America and work here and it allows them to use the same bank here or there
