Why would McCain, who is all about experience, pick Sarah Poyle, who is inexperienced?

As McCain is trash-talking Obama for only being in the senate for less than a decade, he picks the inexperienced governor from the worst pork-barrel state in the country?

The only estimation I can make from this is that he's trying to sway Hillary voters from Obama, not to do what's best for the country.

First of all Obama has 12 years of experience. Four years in the U.S. Senate after eight in the Illinois state Senate.

Secondly, yes, he picked her because she's a woman AND for the Conservative Christian base because she is:

ANTI-Abortion, not even for rape or incest

NRA Member

Against equal pay for woman

Does NOT believe that Global Warming is a man made problem

Palin has more executive management experience than Obama, Biden and McCain combined.  She has served in City Council, Mayor and Government.  She has been a true reformer of state government, fighting corruption in her own party and bringing real change to her state.

At the bottom of her ticket, she is more experienced than the top of the other.

Palin is more experienced than Obama, he is only a professional voter, 1 out of 100. Palin was a Mayor and a Governor both executive positions that required real decisions and their consequences. Also Palin has core values Obama has none, she has the clear advantage.

McCain doesn't have experience he has years. He voted against the military every change he could. Palin is from Alaska she was the only one in the USA that didn't know the truth about McCain & couldn't drive home after a blow up with him. He has so many enemies, I was wondering how this wasn't going to be obvious at the convention cause I know the news said 9 repbulicans refused to go to the conventions because of fights they had with him. These story drop so quickly.

Sorry, she has more experience than Obama!   And she has better decision making skills than does Obama and has proven it in her public life, whereas Obama has nothing to show.  A brilliant and magnificent pick!  McCain-Palin  blowing Biden and Barack back to the senate!

For one Obama's trying to become president and Palin is only trying to become vice president there's a huge difference between the 2 so experience is a big deal for president but isn't that big of a deal for vice president

Totally agree, it was to try and get Hilary supporters to vote for him. I don't think it will work though. Although she has a great personality I do not believe she is ready to lead the greatest country in the world should McCain decide to leave this world during his presidency from heart attack or any other aliment a 72 yr old may encounter.

As far as her qualifications, she was mayor of a city of only 9,000 which is the size of a small county town and the governor of a state with merely 967,000 people which is the size of Charlotte N.C.. Sorry but these experiences do not qualify for experience in governing a state or a country. Maybe if she tried leading a major city or a state with a credible population to say she took on the establishment it might have made a difference, but taking on the good old boys of a state with the population ( which by the way is very scattered ) of a city is not the same as taking on 435 congressmen or 100 senators that have been in their position for as long as 20-30 years in some cases.

They would eat her alive.

The difference is that Obama is running for president.  Palin has more days in serving as governor than Obama's 143 days in the senate.  The fact that people are still talking about this over 24 hrs after the announcement tells me he made the right decison, and Obama's people are scared.   ***

I think you're right and I also think McCain was looking to increase his lead over Obama by picking a woman. He also wanted to secure the conservative base and Palin fit the bill because she's pro-life, a lifetime NRA member, anti-corruption, pro-reform, has a son who will serve in Iraq

Palin can counter the liberal idea that the American dream is dieing and that the families like Palin need abortion (she had a child that she knew would have Down Syndrome), welfare and other government help.  While Obama had to "struggle" till that book sold, the Palin family had it easier even though they had more kids and less money.  If people followed the Palin family, they would be better off than following the Obama family.

I agree with u 100% how can john mccain claim obama doesn't have the experience to govern yet he picks a first term governor with just about the same experience as obama.Hhmmh sounds like a hypocrit to me. I guess now when he uses the inexperience card he'll have to think about what he says carefully. And unfortunately for McCain most women aren't stupid and wont be used like that.
