Question:

Why would McCain say Obama is too inexperienced? Then pick Palin?

Palin has served less than two years as Governor of Alaska, which tends to eat into the experience message on which McCain has relied thus far. At 44, she’s younger than Barack Obama by three years. She has served as a mayor and as the Ethics Commissioner on the state board regulating oil and natural gas, for a total of eight years political experience before her election as governor. That’s also less than Obama has, with seven years in the Illinois legislature and three in the US Senate. Palin has no formal foreign-policy experience, which puts her at a disadvantage to Joe Biden.

  1. And she even said that she didn't know what a VP did in July.

  2. >>>Palin has served less than two years as Governor of Alaska>>>

Yes, but that is all EXECUTIVE-level experience.

    Obama has none.

What's more -- Obama has spent a total of 143 days on the US Senate floor.

Palin has spent far more time in the governor's chair.

Most importantly, Obama's claim that he's "against 'politics as usual'" is not backed up by his record.

Palin is also opposed to "politics as usual," and unlike Obama, she actually has the record to back it up!

    .

  3. Because with Obama taking the Democratic nomination, apparently inexperience is what Americans want.

  4. it CHANCES things. obama will be compared to the vp choice who has more experience that is a slap in the face if you think about it

if obama camp smears palin and takes the same ole route of negative ads he will lose

mccain was brilliant in this strategy which shows he is still sharp as a tack and has what it takes to be pres.

  5. i think he did it for the hillary clinton voters who wont support obama. now that he has picked a woman i think he thinks that the % of women who can hurt obama will help him. theres also her age. i think he knows that the young voters will like paldin.

  6. You know, GW Bush is scratching his head, too.

"Just like my daddy did... just like my daddy..."

  7. Because he's a typical hypocritical Republican.

    They say whatever benefits them.

A politician named John had an affair.

    Is that politician's career over?

That depends on if we mean John Edwards or John McCain.

  8. Palin has more experience than you think.

  9. Palin is a female.  MCCain is going after the "Hilary Voters".

  10. Because he was thinking with his gonads rather than his head, so the experience he was looking for was altogether different

  11. The Democrats have a presidential nominee who can't  publicly bring forward his old buddies (Rev. Wright - etc.) to vouch for his character and started campaigning for President immediately after joining the Senate, so he has really done little work over the last three years.  Palin can proudly display her character references and has as much experience as the Democrat's Presidential candidate.

She also has high standards and will fight earmarks - unlike Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats.

I would rather vote for Her as President than Obama.

    McCain's selection was BRILLIANT.

  12. I would take Palin over Obama and/or Biden any day.

Obama went and picked an insider and purports to be an outsider who is demanding change.

Obama truly has sparked little change in his own district and Palin at least will take action and not just talk about it.

You want change?  sure, if we can afford it.  because by the time obama is done we will all be supporting government programs and subsidies of private friends of theirs on more government program.

That is why I can't vote for Obama -- I need someone to fight for the rights of our country and value the man or woman, who work hard and are productive to society.

  13. Obama has only half a year in the senate and a community drive for his answer under the Experience question
