Why would Obama change the "birth certificate" displayed on his website?

What was wrong with the first one? Shouldn't he have only one birth certificate to display? Why would he suddenly "find" a different one?

Why does Obama have to prove that he is American and McCain doesn't?  Unlike McCain, who was born in PANAMA, Barack Obama was born on U.S. Soil.  So why is it that Obama has to prove everything, put his birth certificate out, etc., and McCain doesn't have to prove anything?  According to what I know, the Panama Canal wasn't even under our territory, and so that would make McCain a foreigner rather than American.  I am really wondering about people in America---it is ok to be prejudiced against one but not against another for the exact same thing.  Either McCain has to prove his citizenship just like Obama does, or none of them has to prove it.  I find it outright ridicoulous....the country is on the brink of a major collapse and all people can worry about is trivialities....I think we should worry about how to make it another 4 years under the same policies, because people who constantly question Obama's genuity will never give him a chance....

It is not a real birth certificate. The certificate was generated by a computer from an entry in a database. Anyone could have added his name to that database (customer service people alter databases daily) .

There are enough questions about this that the Obama campaign should have done SOMETHING intelligent about it long ago.

There have also been questions about McCain's eligibility even though he was born to two US citizens in the Panama Canal Zone which was under US jurisdiction.

McCain took his birth certificate to leading jurists on both sides of the political aisle and to the US Senate.

The Congress, after all, would receive the Electoral Votes from the States, count them and decide the election.  Any challenges to the validity of the votes goes to Congress before a challenge goes to the Supreme Court.

The Senate has unanimously declared John McCain a natural-born citizen, eligible to be president of the United States.

The Obama campaign has NEVER done this.

Why not?
