If I recall right, one of Christie Brinkley's other husbands (the one that was in a plane accident with her) agreed to do the same thing with their son. How can $ equate to custody rights. I guess it does for some (?)

  1. well, the boy is not biologically his for starters. his business may have started to suffer from the public ..trial.. and he felt it was the only way to ..save himself.   he saved time , money , and business accounts by settling in my opinion.

  2. Some parents (mom OR dad) don't get as emotionally invested in their children as we think they do.  They might view children as a nice accessory rather than something precious.  In as such, they'd rather not be stuck with the 'day to day' dealings with them and would much rather keep up the lifestyle they had before their children arrived.

Personally, if I knew the father of my child had the same issues, I'd buy them off too - no need for the child to suffer close quarters with someone that really doesn't care about them other than that they be presentable for their own image.

  3. so many parents abandon their children anymore, is it any real surprise when someone does it for money? in my opinion it makes them as big a low life as the bum who walked away empty handed, they are one in the same, this one just got paid.

  4. from what i heard she hired some private investigators and basically what they found out would have done a lot of damage to his chances of getting any type of custody agreement. he HAD to take the money and what visitation she would give him because his legal team were doubtful about whether he'd fare any better if the court battle went on.
