Why would Princess Diana be a good hero?

i am doing a composition paper for my english class and i picked her to be my hero, i just need some help coming up with why, she did do a lot of charity worked and helped the sick and the poor but what else did she do that would be heroic?

  1. She would be a good heroine, not a hero.

    If nothing else, focus on her AIDS work that she did in the late 1980's. What you need to understand about that time period is that AIDS was new, and people were terrified about it and thought you could contract it like a cold. So, Diana goes into AIDS hospitals and starts hugging and shaking hands with the patients. The shock waves this sent through the world was unheard of. Members of the royal family are not touched-period-unless THEY shake your hand. She really broke down barriers with that one, simple move.

Diana, Princess of Wales was more motivated to do what was best for Diana.  While I believe she was sincere and compassionate about many of her causes, I think she also chose the causes that showed her in the best light.  She had the ability to manipulate those around her and especially the press.
