Why would Sarah Palin say God was all for the Iraq war?

OK, to those of you who say she didn't say that?  Pay attention - here's the direct quote from her public address:

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's will."

And regarding the Alaska Pipeline:

"I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get the gas line built, so pray for that."

I spent three days reading about Sara, no where did I read that, however as christians we are supposed to protect our homeland if we are attacked, so if she said that it could be true.  The ten commandments say , thou shall not kill, that means deliberate murder, it is not referring to not protecting your home land. from enemies.

Because anything concerning God is a faith based issue. Sure some may disagree or agree, but it is just a belief. I can believe the Trix Rabbit is all for my raise at work, it is just a belief. Beliefs mean nothing except to those that believe as well. Live and let live. Keep religion out of politics.

I guess to blame God instead of Bush and McCain for going to war and to make it okay that we stay in this war for another 100 years

Because, McCain chose her so that he would get Evangelical support.

So, by bringing God into it, she is trying to be like an Uber-christian and show that she can do what McCain wants her to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't believe in what she says.
