"A California lawyer has filed a potential class action lawsuit against Yahoo because he was subject to a "barrage of harassing, defamatory and abusive messages" from anonymous users on a Yahoo message board. According to Reuters, corporate attorney Stephen Galton claims the company "unfairly protects" users who post negative messages on their bulletin boards. Galton was apparently called a "shyster" and an "overly robust geezer that makes a living walking behind the elephant with a shovel."

Let's see, according  to the poster heehee,{ and I mean no disrespect to this poster} this lawyer Stephen Galton got his feelings hurt on a meesage board and he feels that Yahoo {unfairly protects} users on message boards.

Well first of all some republicans on some message boards have called me worce than that, but that's their opinion.

And as far as being protected how about protection from wiretaping,but that's ok I got nothing to hide, and as for this ambulence chasing lawyer Galton he can go straight to h**l if he has a problem with that my handle is [e-mail] STEP UP OR STEP OFF.

Sure, it may have been all the hate, as some believe. But, there's a small part of me that feels that Yahoo shut those boards down to prevent Americans from seeing things that they are not supposed to see. There is no discussion now, no rebuttals, no nada. You are going to see and read what Yahoo wants you to (on the front page), and that's that.  And Yahoo does have known biases.

Well because it will sound like those days when only white people were allowed to enter certain toilets and then this thing may grow bigger.  Imagine, only Chinese website, only Indian online store, only blahblah... place or thing.  Next thing you'll have is only some people from an ethnical background for some restaurants and flights etc.  That would be disastrous.  You can go to church eventhough you are not Christian or go to mosque even if you are not Moslem, it is just that usually you have those religions if you go to those places above. OK...
