  1. He wouldn't. Thus, god is either not benevolent or nonexistent.

Edited: MY bad, non-benevolence doesn't equal maliciousness.

  2. God allows things to happen to strengthen you and bring you closer to him. He wants you to come to him when your in a bad situation. Hes saying, "im here" and hes waiting for you.

You need to trust in him during these tough times and know that everything will be ok.

    Worry is a sin

  3. i don't think it has anything to do with god.

I think it is called fate, which has nothing to do with god.

  4. Depends which God you're talking about. Some religions have evil Gods or ones who enjoy human suffering after all.

Really though Gods are just made up by humans to scare them into following their beliefs.

  5. God is not in the business of causing grief. You cause your own grief.

God did not set up baby sitting services on the day of creation. I don't hold God accountable for any of my misfortunes. It was all self inflicted.

  6. Get it right mate.

    God is everything.

    Got it? Everything.

    This does NOT exclude anything.

    Not even pain or suffering.

  7. you supposed to love your god. and your god will provide you with the equal level of your love to him. Life is all about balance

God is our force of energy to stay alive-LIFEFORCE. it is within you.

Protect and understand it and you'll good to go.

Pain and suffering is the result of your sin. Your chosen action didn't match with your subconscious' "set of rules". You fail your God because you lack understanding about it. but God forgives and give you another chance. Seek the truth and it will set you free. you'll no longer identify the feeling as pain or suffering, call it experience of living.

  8. Cause he's a man. If he's a women, that'll be a different story hahahahha!

  9. Not that I'm a believer in God... but all God didn't create duffering. Humans create suffering. If anything, all God created was humans with free will and thus the potential to cause suffering

  10. God Is Love.  Now that is settled, lets try to answer your question. When God created us out of love He didn't want us to be like robots so he gave us free will. We were little less than the angels of heaven. We were given power over every living thing on earth. Unfortunately we (humans) abused that power. Through greed and lust for power we have caused suffering to our fellow man.  So don't think God is causing pain and suffering to the inhabitants of Mother Earth.  He is not.   It is us.  Yes the likes of you and me.  In fact you may not notice but it is God who brings healing to our broken spirit.  If you don't believe me, ask Him with a sincere heart.

You will be in for a surprise.

  11. Who said that it is God causing you pain and sufferings?

It is Karma, the consequences of what you have done.

Sufferings can be overcome, just follow the link

  12. Problem of evil.

I say this only happens IF you believe in the traditional judaeo christian god.

  14. Life on the train

A while back, I read a very interesting book that compared  life to a train ride or a series of train rides. Life is like a train ride, it read. We get on. We ride. We get off. We get back on and ride some more. There are accidents and there are delays. At certain stops there are surprises. Some of these will translate into great moments of joy, some will result in profound sorrow. When we are born and we first board the train, we meet people whom we think will be with us for the entire journey. Those people are our parents! Sadly, this is far from the truth. Our parents are with us for as long as we absolutely need them. They too have journeys they must complete. We live on with the memories of their love, affection, friendship, guidance and their ever presence. There are others who board the train and who eventually become very important to us, in turn. These people are our brothers, sisters, friends and acquaintances, whom we will learn to love, and cherish. Some people consider their journey like a jaunty tour. They will just go merrily along . Others, will encounter many upsets, tears, losses on their journey. Others still, will linger on to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.  Some people on the train will leave an everlasting impression when they get off…. Some will get on and get off the train so quickly, they will scarsely leave a sign that they ever travelled along with you  or ever crossed your path…We will sometimes be upset that some passengers whom we love, will choose to sit in another compartment and leave us to travel on our own. Then again, there’s nothing that says we can’t seek  them out anyway. Nevertheless, once sought out and found,  we may not even be able to sit next to them because that  seat will already be taken. That’s okay …everyone’s journey will be filled with hopes, dreams, challenges, setbacks and goodbyes. We must constantly strive to understand our travel companions and  look for the best in everyone. Remember that at any moment during our journey, any one of our travel companions can have a weak moment and be in need of our help. We too may vacilate or hesitate, even trip… hopefully we can count on someone being there to be supportive and understanding… The bigger mystery of our journey is that we don’t know when our last stop will come. Neither do we know when our travel companions will make their last stop.  Not even those sitting in the seat next to us. Personally, I know I’ll be sad to make my final stop…. I’m sure of it! My separation from all those friends and acquaintances I made during the train ride will be painful. Leaving all those I’m close to will be a sad thing. But then again, I’m certain that one day I’ll get to the main station only to meet up with everone else. They’ll all be carrying their baggage… most of which they didn’t have when they first got on this train.  I’ll be glad to see them again. I’ll also be glad to have contributed to their baggage… and to have enriched their lives, just as much as they will have contributed to my baggage and enriched my life. We’re all on this train ride together. Above all, we should all try to strive to make the ride as pleasant and memorable as we can, right up until we each make the final stop and leave the train for the last time.

    Love & Blessings

  15. Dude, God says "Come close to me and I will come close to you", there are no examples life is easier if you have faith.  The pain and suffering you refer to is caused by you.

  16. We cause ourselves pain and suffering, If god could make life so that everything was good, you wouldn't appreciate the happy times in your life because you would have had no bad experienced to compare them to.

It is also God's way to test people and if people pass the test they find the way to enlightenment, and some people beleive that suffering is just God's way of testing if they belong in heaven

  17. God doesn't cause pain and suffering. We have free will, therefore we chose to put ourselves in situations that ultimately end in suffering.

  18. A far more philosophical question is whether emotions that some living beings experience due to physical processes within our Universe to serve biological needs in their respective niche, can be experienced by a being that 'exists' beyond our Universe. More importantly, would an omniscient being be affected by such emotions with the knowledge that they are simply concepts created by the being itself (like all concepts). These questions are linked to the question: What is it that makes something good/bad? Of course, if there is a God, then it is simply the things that God has chosen to be so.

  19. Why do bad things happen to good people...?

First, there is no reason to believe that the god(s)  exist or have anything to do with existence as there is no verifiable, reliable, quantifiable proof of any said existence.

Second, when one classifies anything, whether that be a god, a person, a system, etc., one has made a judgment rather than having allowed that which is being judged to simply be that which it is when viewed objectively rather than subjectively.  Such judgments reflect more upon the one making the same than that which is being judged.

Third, all beings receive the consequences of said beings action in a manner that balances the energy, both positive and negative, of the cosmos.  If one finds ones self in "pain and suffering" perhaps that one should reflect, contemplate and mediate on ones own actions so as to seek the cause of ones suffering and thereby find a means to ending the same.

Please, seek your answers from within yourself rather than ascribing any problems or difficulties you understand yourself to be having to some invisible "boogie man"..

Be well and please, be wise.

  20. It is a common mistake to think of God in a physical way, for we are physical. God is spirit the source of spirit and cannot be anything that is not God like. Pain and suffering is not of God it is found in the children of time. Our suffering can be physical mental, or emotional, none of which is spiritual. The fruit of the spirit are "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance." all of which are spirit.

P.616 - §5 Supreme justice can act instantly when not restrained by divine mercy. But the ministry of mercy to the children of time and space always provides for this time lag, this saving interval between seedtime and harvest. If the seed sowing is good, this interval provides for the testing and upbuilding of character; if the seed sowing is evil, this merciful delay provides time for repentance and rectification. This time delay in the adjudication and execution of evildoers is inherent in the mercy ministry of the seven superuniverses. This restraint of justice by mercy proves that God is love, and that such a God of love dominates the universes and in mercy controls the fate and judgment of all his creatures.

Try reading the link about Jesus as a young person and see how he dealt with our physical life.

  21. Humans are responsible for their own actions.  The overseer figure, whom I suppose could be called god, just watches.  We meet that figure at our demise and our actions in life determine our destination.  Suicide is a bad idea.  I'm sure that somewhere in all religious texts there are messages hinting against greed.  The society that we live in is based entirely upon greed; perhaps god has been beaten in this realm.  The health pain that many suffer is due to the health care industry prolonging life as long as is physically possible.

  22. God does love/care for us, he does not cause pain and sufferings....God is testing us and these are the lessons of life we are suppose to learn IF we figure them out and also how we treat each other, aren't we all SUPPOSE to be brothers and sisters?  There are many of us that do not live by "do unto others as you would want others to do unto you" and because of this there is alot of pain and suffering but by us, mankind...those of us who HAVE learned these lessons (sometimes called common sense) are supposed to help those who need guidance, keep the peace, share.....etc.  BUT that's just my opinion....good question.

  23. There are things in this world that can harm us, and that we would consider God's fault. Now I don't believe entirely in a God in the way Christians or Muslims do. Perhaps they are right maybe not, but taking it from their view (and having once thought I was a Christian) I can say that a lot of evil in this world is caused by us alone as human beings. Sometimes us as individuals. Maybe bad weather can kill and animals can slaughter you. But what is good without evil. Were would the sensation of hope be if there was always certainty! We need pain and suffereing to experience joy. It is the sad price we pay to have the good things in life. Life itself wouldn't be special if it were not for death!

  24. God doesn't cause pain, but lessons for us to endure. I mean life is not is fair.God doesn't cause hurt and pain member this, sweetie. He does come thru for us if we pray hard enough. It is so easy to get mad at Him when things go wrong. I have many many times. I do believe that He will get u thru those times. Life is not a rose pedal, it has thorns to.God doesnt make our lives perfect so blaming him for pain is not fair. He sometimes tests us to .

  25. Wow, you've just asked one of the most popular question asked by atheist who do not believed that there is a "God". Now here is my answer to you, You either accept God as you're lord and savior and acknowledge that he exists or you spend your whole life coming up with ridiculous theories to deny that he does. The reason there is pain in suffering in this world is the same reason people like you don't believe in God. That reason is free will.

  26. Why blame God for everything? He didn't tell scientists to let off the Atom bomb or drivers to get behind the wheels of their cars when on drugs or after drinking. He didn't pollute the atmosphere or tell us to go around shooting and knifing each other, and carry out other cruelties. He gave us a brain so we would know right from wrong so it's all down to us I'm afraid, not God.

  27. Because organised religion, which brainwashes people from infancy onwards, to kneel or bow down to one God or another, has almost nothing to do with human well being and has a great deal to do with the accumulation and exercise of power over peoples' minds.

  28. Hi,

I am lucky in not really beleiving in a "God"

I would like to have a long chat with Jeasus about his "Dad", I reckon he might say > well, sorry about that.

I would reply, you are supposed to be omniprscent.

When a car hit me head on, causing severe leg damage, where was a God ?

Not in Bedfordshire that night for sure.

Would an all-loving God giggle at the dying children in Afican countries ?

Hence I do not have a God, I will rely on simple common sense.

  29. is it God who is causing the pain and suffering?

i believe that he cares for you even when it seems the opposite

    i mean....God IS love

maybe he allows it to happen because we don't live in a perfect world and ever since the Fall evil and death and hardship entered the world

i mean its like asking God why he "causes" us to die

i asked the exact same question earlier this year so i hope this answer makes sense!

  30. wake up! wake up from your spiritual slumber. Then you will recognise that what you experience as pain and suffering are the consequences of your own activities.

These are the direct after effects of your own activities in the past. These past inlcudes past earth lives.

If you wish for peace and harmony, then begin now to practice love and harmony and ensure that you cause no harm to your fellow human being or else the suffeing will have no end.

    SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND!

  31. I would not believe in God who is God only of happiness, health and prosperity, I would believe in God who is God of the world, or all worlds, including the world that is mine. I do not seek proof of the existence of God only in things that I find to be of my own liking, and for the similar reason, I do not seek to refute Him because there are pain and sufferings in the world. I see the proof of His existence in my own being and in the beings of other people, and in the existence of the world that is around us and that we share. I do not seek God in temporary nature of the events that befall human beings but in their courage, fortitude, patience and forbearance, in their ability to get through, to help out, to reach out and lend a hand. I do no think that God is God of all the answers, but also of questions that it is we who need to answer.

This is true that often randomness and chaos of human affairs make us think that if there were God them He would not have let all this happen, but the reality is that we are, we exist, and the thought that what we are going to do whatever happens to us signify something that we have within and that is concerning. The problem is that we all see God as a mighty person living somewhere else. We exclude ourselves from our concept of God. We see him as someone who could help us even if we would do nothing, someone who never let anything go wrong in life, but this is what this life is for. Life is a way to find God is all circumstance or all people, in their solutions, remedies, and also with our own self. There is no God as such, but the one who has created us, and has never abandoned us since.
