  1. A bobcat can kill a rattlesnake because its feline reflexes are like lightning reflexes. However, it generally eats the snake unless it is not hungry and simply honing its fight skills. Or perhaps it got spooked by a car or a person nearby getting to close for comfort, to come back later to eat it, but never came back.

  2. The bobcat wanted to warn other snakes not to disturbe his family !!!!

  3. Because Bobcats are just plain mean.

  4. The snake looked like Dubya from the back.

  5. because he was not hungry?

  6. If the snake was a venomous one, maybe the bobcat was bitten by the snake during the scuffle. If the bobcat started to feel sick from a bite, I don't imagine it would feel like eating.

    That's one possibility, anyway.
