We bought a carmel apple at disney world last march and I wanted to just carry it on with me but they told me I had to check it in my luggage. Is it a liquid?

  1. I'm not completely sure, but since 9/11, the government might suspect the actual apple may not be an apple, but a caramel covered bomb. I know it sounds stupid. The stick holding the apple also could be suspected as a stick of dynamite. Sometime the bomb sensors at the airports are really sensitive, as my hair gel set off the bomb alarm and shut down everything. They had to hand check me and escort me on to the airplane with two airport guards. And I'm an American born 13 year old!!

  2. Besides the fact that the government is immensely paranoid I think it's because carmel apples are crazy hard and COULD be used to bash someones head in. Though why they'd use a carmel apple is beyond me.

  3. As ridiculous as this sounds, my best guess is the stick in the apple.  I know that they can ask you to check objects like knitting needles, which are the same size and material (wood sometimes).

  4. because the govt is run by idiots

  5. they were tipped off that you were going to use the oil from the nuts on the carmel apple to light the plane on fire with a match that security allowed you to bring on board.
