Why would a check have only eight routing numbers on the lower left hand corner instead of nine ?

  1. Is it counterfeit or from another country?


  2. Depends on a lot of things what bank and state or country its drawn on!

  3. It's not a real check.  All banks have a 9 digit routing number.  You maybe looking at the account number, those can vary in length.
