Why would a fitter tell me to get my clubs bent 1 degree upright.?

I want to take his advice, and i didn't understand his explanation. I would like some clarification if anyone can help me.

probably because u are more upright because of how tall u are and how u hold the club. the sole of the club should lay level with the ground. the fitter probably saw that the toe of the club dug into the ground and it needs to be bend so that it is lvl.

the heel of your irons are sitting of the ground . when you swing the clubs toe digs into the ground . the contact is toward the toe of the club . inconsistent contact . the one degree will drop the heel of the club on to the ground . your irons will make contact middle of club face . more distance , more accuracy . no pushes . best improvment you can make . thank you .

recently, most big club companies have offered fitting with the purchase of a set of clubs.  this is great because it gives the average player a chance to experience what pros have been doing for decades.  these fittings are based on a formula that takes into consideration a person's height, swing speed, and posture at address.  i also play my clubs 1 degree upright because i am fairly tall and have a tall posture.  the 1 degree is so that the club sits appropraitely at address.  a club that sits too flat will have too much of the toe touching the ground and too upright will have too much of the heel touching the ground.  i would listen to what the guy says.  it wont make a world of difference unless you play to around scratch, but it is the appropriate lie angle for you.

By bending the club 1 degree upright, this will probably get you standing closer to the ball which may be natural for your stance .Why don't you ask the fitter to fully explain to you why the 1 degree is important and how  will it affect your game. He made the suggestion. He should explain with an answer you can understand.

its to help your swing match your body's natural stance

mine are also bent 1 degree upright because i stand very tall when i address the ball. this helps because when you address the ball, that bend will keep you from having to bend your back a little bit to get into a good position to swing the club
