Why would a guy admit that he's a hoe to the girl he likes?

so my guy friend bob* has liked my other friend sindy* for about two years now, he said that sindy was the first girl he ever really liked or was interested in. bob never got the nerve to tell her about the way he felt, sindy found out through some other friends...sindy didnt think of him in that way. bob* has always been a horny little toad but has never shown it in front of sindy. but then the other day bob* invited sindy to come chill with him n other ppl ...out of no where bob* starts talking abt a lot of other girls.....while sitting directly infront sindy....why would he do that if he still likes sindy?
