Why would a guy i like be talking about past relationships?

i like this guy and i know he likes me too (some one told me he did), but im starting to wonder because he talks a lot about his past relationships. does he just think of me as a friend? i was so sure he didnt. why would he do this?

Maybe he's kinda sorta letting you know that he doesn't want to move too fast. Or maybe he's just letting you know that he has experience, so you might be impressed (ya, ik, guys are weird). He might even be trying to make you jealous. Hope this helps! Cheers!

He may have had hard times in past relationships.

Maybe he feels he can talk to you about it because he trusts you?

If he likes you as well, he may be trying to inform you of what he has done or whatever, however i think it is because he can trust you.
