Why would a guy wear a pink shirt?

Hi, I was watching a tv show today (reality show) and saw a guy in a pink shirt. I have seen guys in pink before- and don't understand why a perfectly strait guy would ever even consider the color pink. Is it because it may make them appeal more feminine to a lady? Is it because he has so much confidence in himself that he doesn't care how he looks (as if to say pink is the worse color on a guy but I look so good that it doesn't matter if I wear it?).

Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in a pink shirt- I don't even like pink post it notes or anything like that. It's just not a guys color I feel. So why would a guy wear pink?

maybe they like the colour or it flatter their skin tone..theres nothing wrong with a guy wearing pink..hot pink seems a bit to feminine for a guy but light pink etc is fine

Its a colour, and although its typically known as a girlie colour, it has become fashionable.

My hubby has a few pale pink shirts and he looks great in them especially with a summer tan, I wouldn't like him in bright pink though.

Its just a colour, introduced by fashion.

you dont like it doesnt mean that people shouldnt wear it pink is pink a color and mostely men with high self confidance wear it.

although i never wear pink because it looks ugly on guys, it is a somewhat flashy color that grabs attention and can exude confidence

Nowadays, the idea of wearing pink for men has been twisted into "only tough men wear pink", because it means you're "secure about your sexuality". Haha, so it's kind of ironic, many insecure men wear it so they look tougher. And some guys just wear it because its a nice color. But its more insecure people wear it.

I probably guess it started when some popular guy accidentally mixed his reds with his whites and he came to school self validating himself as well as his friends that he wears it because he's "secure about his sexuality". many guys nowadays show off by having it labeled onto the shirt "Real men wear pink".

I'm pretty secure about my own sexuality, but still, whats the point of SHOWING off that you're wearing it because you're a real man? It ironically shows how insecure you are.

Maybe he is from Miami. Or maybe he wants to challenge gender roles by showing he is not afraid to wear pink.

Great question!! I've often wondered the same thing. Pink is definitely not a guys color. It's as feminine as can be! I guess that could answer the question...lol

Maybe, it's attractive? Or they just feel like it. Colors can express your moods. Like, blue means your sad and your feeling blue. You know that kind of stuff. They also express how you are like. So if that guy wears a pink shirt, No biggie.
