Why would a man call a women and have nothing to say?

For example, A guy i use to date and we haven't spoken for a two months... He stopped contact with me .... After my friend told him I liked him and he said he liked me as a friend.Calls me and I say hey who is it because i did not recognize the number i deleted his..He was like it is me James....It was silence after that ..I tried to get off the phone but he didn't want me to.....but he wasn't saying anthing so I hung up.. It was strange

sometimes its hard for a guy to talk.maybe he wanted to hear you voice.

I suppose he just wanted to talk to you but he is quite boring...or maybe he is a weirdo, or he was just playing a joke on you?

He liked you and put a lot of pressure on himself to talk then couldn't think of anything to say.  Or you don't have that much in common.  He should have planned the call out better.  If you liked him you could have started talking.

Maybe your asking who it was threw him off.  After hearing that you like him its possible he assumed you memorized the sound of his voice and would know it was him!!!  LOL

Silence is never a bad thing until it becomes unconfortable.  One thing I can't stand is when people dont let you get off the phone...yet they have nothing to say.  That's when it becomes weird.  He may have just been comforted knowing he had you on the phone...even tho no one was talking!!
