  1. Possibly - or the higher ups want to do one while the manager is gone so the manager doesn't stress?  Odds are they want to track money flow while the manager is there, while gone and then when back.

    Could be worrisome


  2. It really depends on what type of audit. I have been a restaurant manager for over 20 years and there are several types. If your company does unannounced audits then its no big deal, just a coincidence.If they do not do that type of audit then I would be concerned, maybe they don't want you around and will hit you with everything when you return to see if there are explanations for any of it. from what I seen in my history that usually means that they MAY think that something strange is going on. Also do the auditors have to travel where it might be an expense that your company would lose money??
