I am looking into making some extra money and saw a place hiring people to distribute flyers door to door to houses for local businesses, etc...well, when I wanted to know more about the area's I would be walking through, they said I would have to sign a contract and upon receiving my signed contract they would send me all that info through an email.

My question is....why would I need to sign a contract and do you think I should? It maybe a scam, but I do know someone out there is delivering these flyers cause I know I get 'em all the time in my mailbox!

  1. DO NOT do it

  2. That does seem strange. Do you have any way of looking up this company on some sort of website to see if they're legit? I certainly wouldn't sign a contract for a job like that. It's not like you're going to divulge trade secrets or something! If something smells funny, it probably is bad.

  4. This does sound very much like a scam

I have applied for a lot of jobs and none has every asked me to sign a contract before sending me information about the job. Even the security services will only ask for permission to do background checks after you hand in your application form.

I would look for work elsewhere as these guys sound dodgy.
