  1. break in the cable?

  2. I'd bet the poor thing got lonely and started flirting with another dish.  It's probably pointed at it right now!

  3. a number of things....it has moved and is no longer facing the right direction, its windy and the dish moves...some other part of the system has broken.

  4. i see how it could just stop unless its been damaged.

when i moved into my house we couldn't get a signal from the standard aerial but the previous tenants left their sat dish on the house so we borrow a sky box from someone and plugged it all in and it worked with no problems and we're not even sky customers.

it sounds as though it might be broken or have a loose connection somewhere

  5. There are number of reasons that it stops in which few of the most common issues are :

    1. If the location of the satellite is shifted from its earlier position.

    2. If the signal is changed from analog to digital (many satellite signals are changing to digital broadcasting)

    3. If there is some damage in the transponder. (a box or a device that is placed in the center of the dish)

    4. If there is a breakage in the cable connecting the link from receiver to setup box

    5. If there is a problem in setup box.

    6. If some settings are changed in the setup box.

I hope this info helps you… get the above checked and I am sure it will start working again.

     have a nice time

  6. Either a break in the lead-in cable or the dish itself has gotten bumped and knocked out of alignment with the satellite.  You might also want to have the box looked at.  Does the t.v. work with the dish and receiver box disconnected?  If not, it may be the t.v. that's busted.
