Why would a woman ask "does it look like I gained weight" if she doesnt want the truth? will she kill me?

lol, women r difficult.  We want the truth, but be nice about how you say, and add compliments...lol, just a few...like ummm...maybe u have put on a lil weight but u still look great...something retarded like that.  I know i know, its dumb, but if u tell her dang girl ur fat...forget it...hide the q-tips everything...sleep with one eye open..your life WILL be in danger...lol good luck.

I know its stupid, but we ask because we know we have gained weight and want to know you are ok with it.  Just say something like "You look the same today as you did the day I fell in love with you."  corny, but gets the job done.

Wow, I get being mad and hurt with your comment, but that is extreme.

I told my husband I was gaining weight and wanted to go on a diet. He said "You look beautiful to me" then gave me a kiss. " We can eat healthier together."

Which meant a lot because he thinks of french fries as a vegetable.

This is always a rhetorical question, with the expected answers being:

1.  No, of course not.

2.  No.  In fact, I thought you had lost some weight.

3.  You look perfect, as always.

At the point you realized that you had answered with unwelcome truth, you should have said you were just teasing.  You could try saying that even now, although it's less believable with the passing of time.

That's funny, well for me i would want to know the truth if i asked that Q, b/c i would want to know what my man thought of me.However other women don't quite feel the same, they ask but they're not expecting to hear the truth at all, they want to hear a lie, what they want to hear, and that is never the truth.

Tell her she looks great (she only wants your opinion, because that is what matters).  If she is still asking it is because she notices the weight.  Come up with a new idea - "I want to start working out again - do you think you could work out with me - you would really be helping me out - to stay focused".   Problem resolved - women love to HELP.  Not only is she helping you, but helping herself.  Workingout generates endorphins (feel good chemical for the brain), and will help her loose the weight.
