usually people don't get that close because they are self conscious about something, This girl maybe isn't? Some people or just easy going like that, It kinda goes hand in hand with not knowing if you are in someones personal space.

Because her "personal space" is a lot smaller than yours.   That is, if she doesn't really "know" you, she would just be coming as close to you as she is ordinarily accustomed.

A personal story:  A co-worker had a "personal space" is a lot smaller than mine.  Since I felt uncomfortable with this, every time we talked, I had my leg just a little in front of me.  He tripped over it several times while we talked.  And no, he didn't "get it"  Because he was just staying w/in his own personal space.

Either using the directions as an excuse to talk to you and encroaching on your personal space as a way of getting close to you coz she fancies you or she's socially inept.

Some cultures have varying ideas regarding "personal space".

It may have seemed perfectly normal to her.

Just take a step back or change your body posture. A fake sneeze or cough is a great way to move.
