Not all white ones are see through when wet, they have ones that are lined so that they don't.  Even if they did go see through it doesn't mean anything about the person wearing it.

I myself have been caught out by clothes looking one way in the store and then a whole other way when out in direct sunlight.

PS- I have seen white swin suits that aren't see through when wet but for every one of those I've seen, I've seen a hundred (or more) that are see through
