Why would anyone call herself Misty May?

Is she like a big Pokemon fan? Or does she used to cry alot when she was little, so they added Misty to her name? Misty May...... sounds like an actress' name

It is definitely a little different.  I think if my parents called me Misty with a surname of May I'd be a little peeved, but hey, each to their own.

Well the TV showed her surname as "May-Treanor" so I think either that's her surname.

edit - Oh so it's her husband's surname combined.  Still, she used to be Misty May before she was married :]  and it's kind of rare to see double surnames for Americans.
