Don't we have enough tolls already. The trinity river is a park setting with a few lanes at 35 mph, the city of Dallas want to instead place a smog producing mega toll road next to the nice area.

Why on earth would you want to build an ugly smog machine next to a area you are currently investing millions in to restore for the purpose of having a park. And why does it have to be a toll road again. Does anyone know if Dallas Fort Worth has decided to never build regular highways anymore, you know the ones are taxes go to. I like the tax built ones better than the tax and toll built ones.

  1. There are two ways of paying for highways:  taxes and tolls.  In taxes everyone pays, and in tolls you only pay if you use the highway.  Tolls are much more fair, because people who don't drive, or don't drive much, don't have to subsidize the roads for those that use them more.  If you drive a lot, then of course you'll like the tax built ones, since you get non-drivers to subsidize your roads for you.
