Many Christians believe that the birth of Israel in 1948 was a fulfillment of prophecy.  They believe God is on the Jews' side, just as he said he would be, and that Israel is a blessed nation.

when you are in israel, you are in the land that G-d fulfilled all the miracles in, where all the Jewish, Christian and Muslim ancestors all lived. When you are there in the holy sites, Nazareth and the mosques, you feel a holy presence around you.
