Why would anyone want to do a head transplant?

The only thing you can connect are the arteries, veins, and stuff and of course the flesh but the spinal cord and nerves aren't connected to the body so it still can't move. So why would anyone try?

Wouldn't you dead because the spinal cord is severed which means that the impulse that tell the heart to beat can not complete their job.  That goes with all the other organs.  So to answer your question no.

usually these people are rich, and want to keep living the good life.

Maybe someday they will be able to connect all the other things they cant now, or maybe they wanna do experiments like if someone had their body messed up they can still live somehow or maybe get a robot body or something.
